I'm in the process of installing a new headgasket on my car but am not sure of how to reinstall the head and cams without ruining anything. I'd be glad to pay for your assistance. Thank you call 602-614-3225

First off, what kind of gasket set are you using? Some are junk and will blow within a few thousand miles and you will be doing it all over again. Secondly, buy the bentley manual. It has a whole bunch of knowledge and will take you step by step through the process, with pictures!

Im sure there are a bunch of people that have the skills and knowledge to help out but unfortunately we are selfish and lazy. So its always best to attempt something on your own first, learn from your mistakes, and when all hope seems lost and your about to call the scrap yard to come pick up your beloved... Google.

It's a victor reinz from pelican parts. Got the head machined and should have it by today but I'm unsure of whether I really need the cam tools. I don't want to ruin anything as its my daily driver. I've done lots of wrenching, but never pulled a head, especially a bmw. Also, the chain tensioner guide broke, any ideas where to get therm or if I could go with something used?

The chain tensinor guide u can get from az autohause online. you will need to remove the crank pully and the timing chain cover u will need those gaskets also only way to replace it. I have the tools to do the job ct=rank pin and cam holders where are you located

Victor Reinz is one of those bad head gaskets to use. They make the best gaskets for everything else on the car, but i think when it was at the end of the day on a friday when they designed those HG's.

If you get the head on and torqued down and the chain guide replaced also have the front jacked up and on stands i could make arangements to line up your cams and install the gears and tensioner

What question? Why does the front have to be on Jack stands?

It doesn't have to be on jack stand.. Lock the flywheel in place (top dead) and reinstall head

Jack stands = locking flywheel from under car. I would help you set the cams. i do not have the time to help you do the whole job installing the head would be 10 min h=job to set cams. u need to install the chain guide before u install the head easier that way
