• Front brake ducts w/piping to back of rotors
• AutoPower bolt in roll cage
• Turner Motorsport J-Sport suspension system (http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-...spensions.aspx)

this are pictures of the car when i bought it.

s11.beta.photobucket.c...rary/325is

Matt from e36 garage llc did the swap and I m running his old cams that i bought from Toon with the s52.

couple pictures of the swap.
s1295.beta.photobucket...e30%20swap

car is getting there but i m still running into some minor problems

the exhaust was done by Kent at precision chassis works. (Great guy)

The check engine light is on with code 1221 1215 1263.

I m looking for a used working maf sensor obd1 to check if that can clear the code 1215 as i bought mine used and i m not sure it's working.

I will replace the o2 sensor that should take care of the 1221.

Just add a carbon fiber sunroof and putting the wing on it this week.

3" or 3.5" maf? If 3.5" I have a maf you can test. I'll send it with Toon when i see him Thursday.

Great dyno numbers D!

Here are a few more pictures for you Damien. Can't wait for you to get the wiring covers to tidy things up the engine bay a little bit and everything else sorted so I can see this on the track!

Ok some news still didn't had the time to work on the wing.

But all engine light are gone !!!
Put a new o2 sensor and took care of the 1221 and 1215.
I had to use a resistor 1k 1 watt to get rid of the 1263 as i m not running any evap purge valve.

Everything looks to work except that the engine light is still coming on above 6500 rpm in 3rd,4th and 5th gears. Anybody have a clue on that???

Guys,

I m still running in that problem above 6000 rpm the engine light come on and the car hesitate. i have a 1215 code MAF.

Does anybody had that problem before on s52 obd1?

I read that it can be due to turbulence?

thanks for your help

Is your cone filter mounted directly to the MAF?

Looks like it. He had a similar issue with the original motor and same filter/MAF set up. Would that cause it?

The issue that i also have and had with the original motor is due to the fuel starvation which is an other problem not related I guess.

Because when i m running full thanks and don't have any hesitation, but I still have that engine light around 6000 rpm and then some hesitation but not the same then the one from the fuel.

i was also reading a post and they say it can be from the tune.
A guy fix it by switching to an s50 tune, would that work with a war chip?

thanks for the help guys

I would like to preface my response by saying, I am not an expert Razz

I have had a similar code. My research and conversations with my tune provider said that turbulence caused by the placement of the cone filter too close to the maf were a common cause.

I don't know much about tuning of the warchip and cannot answer your question. It seems to me that if you are running an OBDI S52 then you are probably running an S50 map already....

I can tell you I have a tune for an S50 and I had the same issue. I have not noticed it recently but I haven't been really laying in to it.

You fuel issues are going to be separate.

thanks boss

I send an email to miller i will let you know.

I m guessing hesitation is due to the fault because appear at the same time. so maybe if you remove the code that would clear the hesitation but i don't think so.
I know that in most of the tune they remove the maf code so it doesn't appear.

I am surprised by the hesitation part. My CEL would flicker (never stayed on) between 6k-7k RMP's but I never had an associated hesitation.

Maybe I missed it in the thread, are you running 24# injectors?

I do believe you should be running 24# injectors with that cam......

It appears that the "clocking" of the maf is accurate so maybe start with straightening the filter on your intake. In the picture you provided it's at a strange angle. We can start with low hanging fruit....
