okay guys, what does everybody think about the next M3? Here is a list of possible things to complain about/upset you with:

bmw-bringing-m3-concept-to-geneva

- 4 door model only because they just want to shuffle the nomenclature around, unchained drivers must wait for m4
- turbocharged engine
- probably less max engine speed
- inline 6 (extra points for complaining about this)
- no manual option
- 7 speed gearbox instead of 6
- side gill design cribbed from ford focus/porsche panamera
- gran "coupe" version coming soon for those who demand more size and weight
- M335i coming soon to dilute your sense of exclusivity
- significantly larger footprint so it's basically M5 size
- rumor of runflat tires coming stock
- way more expensive than $60k

I will be the first to say, I'd have kept my E92 M3 if it had a turbocharged N54 in it... lol

you couldn't keep a car even if it had a trio of model-caliber babes on permanent contract to loiter in and around it

It seems that BMW are trying to cater to everyone at the same time. I saw an article about a Dinan tuned 5 series (don't know current chassis code or care) and it said it was pretty much on par with the M5. If this is true then why bother offering M models if you can buy a top of the line model, tune it and it is pretty much the same? Idk I'm just venting I wouldn't buy a turbo M3.

"Although rumors of a 3.3-liter V6 based on BMW's larger V8 engine persist"

this is what im worried about right here.

Power alone does not make an m-car. I drove a few of those tuned 335 putting down more power than the STOCK e9x M's. The tuned cars were scary, in a bad way. A gazillion horsepower on soft suspension and everything being laid down to one wheel......

It isnt just about numbers, it never has been.

True, my e92 m3 was a much better car on the track.

Couldn't beat the exhaust note. Rev'd high, power was very, very linear and had a flat torque curve (no surprises when rolling onto throttle out of a turn).

The M will always be my favorite NA bmw. Seems that's all changing looking back at 1M, M5 and now the new m3.

Douchebags have more money to spend than car enthusiasts, surprised it took BMW that long to figure that out. Although the 1M and M5 are supposedly really good cars, so maybe there's hope left for some cool shit next to the X6M etc.

the 1M is gonna turn into the M3. The M3 is turning into what BMW always wanted... a stupid ass M4.

Eh, could really care less since I would never buy one, there are plenty of other cars on the market that I would buy with $60+K anyway.

BMW is making some stupid decisions like an m3 only made into four door, etc. Another example would be the 6 series becoming a sedan?! Wtf they are known as big coupes, if you want a sedan buy a 7 series or a 5 series....but unfortunately tttoon is right...
