Looking good, Nate!

How come you decided to carry on with it?

I was bored with it, I cant work on the E46 so I needed something to start wrenching on again.

Its a different kind of build, I can take my time and do things 100% perfect...not the "This is my DD I need to get it back on the road"

Here is the Manifold

I didn't build this one, this is a rapid spool industries. I decided to go with something a little different than normal.

Only changing the Turbo (Precision 6466), Manifold, full 3.5 exhaust from the turbo back, and the fuel system ( which will be a 400lp with two 044 inline pumps and 2200CC injectors)

Some small updates, ive been waiting on a welder and other equipment to show up so I can get to some fab work. So far ive repainted the engine bay and done a lot of wiring delete, tucking all the wiring in the fenders and such. Got the euro coolant pipe installed to relocate the coolant bottle to really clean up the bay.

Here are some shots of the wiring progress

Whole bay looking goooood

Coolant bottle mock up (will be wrinkle black)

Then I decided I was not happy with the turbo placement, so out came the saw.

With this modification the turbo has a much more direct line past the strut tower for the downpipe, its 3.5in from the turbo back so I need the room. Also gained about 3/4in of hood clearance.

Bumper mesh was reinstalled in the bumper, and I think im going with a black intercooler.

BIG updates next week.

what welder did you end up getting? I have been shopping around for a decent AC/DC tig welder to do aluminum with.

I do all I can to keep up with you! The car looks dead stock, the intercooler is black, I rerouted the couplers so they are barley visible, the exhaust has a single exit 3in back tip. Also painted my rollbar artic silver, so it matches the car. Im very happy with the results.
