Well i finally got rid of my bike and picked up a 2001 530i. Is there anywhere you guys recommend where and where not to get parts? Is there anything i should look for in this car? any feed back is appreciated. I really love this car.

im sure you dont have a shop so ssf is ruled out. bap isnt a bad spot but a few online sites can get you cheaper parts. pelicanparts.com and getbmwparts.com are two of the bigger online sources. crank case vent valve and the intake elbows are two good things to check on that car i jut finished the ccv on my sisters car and sure enough while ripping the intake out i found the 2 intake elbows from the tb to the cleaner box to be bad.

I wouldn't use AutohausAZ. Lots of crappy brands now and you have to pay sales tax.

So the tranny on the 530i decided to crap out within the warranty period and the dealer decided it was "more cost effective" to get me into another vehicle. So i now have a 2004 325i. Does anyone have some areas i should look at for common E46 problems? Car has 136k on it.
