Wheels finally mounted (thanks Chris!). Compomotive TH2 17x8. As a note, ECS e30 10.5mm spacers don't actually work on e30s for some weird reason they couldn't quite explain. So that took me a couple days to get correct spacers from somewhere else. Tires are 235/40 R17 Nitto NT-05. Pics:

To spin these I'm working on a power upgrade. I got VAC 286/272 cams for m/s5x engines (thanks Matt!). So the only things I'll need are an actual s50/52 and a set of valve springs to keep stuff tight. And possibly a new drivetrain too. Debating just keeping the g240 to save weight and money and see if it'll hold. Picture:

Should I hang these vertically or is properly supported in a box on the floor ok?

I was right about those wheels.

And if you dont have the means to store those properly then vertically is fine.

S52 is in and running. Chris just ironed out the glitches today. I'm breaking in the clutch so I can't say how fast it is but safe to say it is molto faster than the M50. I should be able to really see what it does on the track next weekend, if work lets me.

The swap was a little simpler than what my buddy Damien is doing. Here's the basics:

-S52, M50 manifold conversion
-ZF E36 M3 transmission
-Condor engine mounts
-Stock tranny mounts
-UUC flywheel
-E34 M5 clutch and pressure plate
-Dave Markert OBD2 harness rewire
-Special tune I can't say much about
-3.73 LSD (should give me top speeds of 32, 54, 82, 109 and 136 mph in the 5 gears (all rev limited)
-Shoddy exhaust (for now, better is in the works)
-Raceland headers

No pictures because I'm a slacker.

Cams were sold. I had another S52 initially but sold that and the cams. For whatever stupid psychological reason I didn't think I needed an S52 anymore When this motor turned up and compression checked out good, I went for it, but on a much smaller scale (also financially).

It's probably temporary. Matt ran it for a while and said the biggest problem was running out of gear in the corners, maybe with my slightly lower cornering speeds this'll work out. If not I'll get something a little longer.
