Sup, guise. McAra reminded me that I haven't visited here in a while. I'll join in the surge of new car updates here.

After what's seemed like an eternity, I finally decided to take the leap and get a Ford GT about a year ago. I patiently waited for about 5-6 months for my 997 turbo to sell, and by that time, the prices on the GT had already jumped significantly than when I first started looking.

4 option, unmodded, no story cars seemed to be getting harder and harder to find. I waffled between colors, always coming back to white but considering red, black, and blue if the price was right. Hoping to find a decent higher mileage example priced accordingly, I let one or two go that I should have snagged and almost bought a red/white lightly modded car.

Local dealer contacted me last February about a lower mileage (3800 miles), 4 option, no stories, one owner, bone stock GT. Hallelujah!.......then came the price tag shock. A good deal over my intended budget. My initial reaction was to pass. But then I remembered the other one or two that slipped through my fingers. These cars were just not getting any less expensive. With each passing day/week/month, someone would post about another wrecked GT. The available pool of virgin cars was slowly diminishing and the prices would only get higher.

So, I took a trip to his warehouse and it was all over. Beautiful white/blue stripe, barely an indication that it was driven other than a few minor unavoidable cosmetic issues.

Reviewed the finances, got a PPI, pleaded with the Mrs. (who I LOVE, thanks hon!, and BAM.

Car was 100% stock when I bought it and fully intended it to stay that way....that lasted a few months. Haven't done much and don't intend to do much more.

Ford Racing Rear Exit headers
Transaxle cooler and breather
Air/oil separator
Ford Racing Pulley/tune (from 550 to 620ish rwhp)
Bumper delete (being installed now)

One pic on delivery day after stopping by a friend's house on the way home.

Ran the car at the Shift S3ctor Airstrip event last October. I was one of the slowest cars there Crying or Very sad . But it was a blast!

Thanks Austin!
Needs a little cut and weld on the exhaust to shorten up the tips and paint the rear valance panel.

Very nice! Somehow I read half the text thinking this was about an '05 Mustang GT, I was a little puzzled about why they would be getting more expensive, but then I got it.

Holy shiznett. That's harsh. Besides, only things in my garage right now are a BMW, a fuckin' Ford SUV, and a shitload of kids toys. My Mustang is in the shop.

I'll be there soon enough, be thankful it's not a man-van. We have a 4runner to hold us over.

Love the GT's, I'd own one if I could convince the wife to live in a shoe box
