Has anyone used this website? I did this morning, was curious how anyone felt about the accuracy. Realoem was right upto the transmission, it told me automatic, I was never told it was a swap, nor does it look like it.
I suppose my question would be, is realoem ever wrong?

I've never had anything be wrong with it. So your car is a manual and it's saying it's an auto?

Your own post, here: azbmw.org/index.php?na...ic&t=16103 states that the transmission was swapped. What's more reasonable: the previous owner swapped from auto to manual or that RealOEM is wrong?

I'm not saying that RealOEM is always right - I've never had any issues with that site - I'm just asking which is a more reasonable conclusion?

It is swapped, it's an m3 m/t. The guy I bought it from was not to reliable...I'm curious if it was an a/t at one time, iv never used realoem before.

Has to be. I can't imagine another scenario that would lead to his question.

OP: check the decal(s) on your car's driver's side b-pillar. I'm not sure if BMW did it on the e36, but on many models BMW put an 'A' on the end of the model designation printed on these decals when the car was equipped with an automatic transmission. For example, look for "325iA" on those decal(s).

As an example, the image below is from an e46, but you'll see the 'A' in the area marked #1
