Motor is in for the last time. Just wiring and plumbing left to do. Running a spare "junkyard" motor this season. I wasnt able to finish the 4.4l in time as this season the first race was moved up by about 3 months over the past years. I was caught of guard. So I just threw in the spare motor I planned on keeping as a backup/core.

No it is a BMW engine. I believe it is a m60b40 since he said he didn't finish the 4.4 liter which would be an m62b44 or m62tub44.
Corvette engines (lsx series) I think you are referring to are a totally different engine design because it is a push rod system. While the BMW m60/m62 is a DOHC.
Sorry for the rant my battery is dead and I'm waiting in the parking lot for someone to pick me up! Haha

Valve covers are the give away. LS gm motors have tiny thin valve covers. Yes currently m60b40 with a zf310 5 speed. Building a m60/m62 hybrid for next year or the end of this season. Still trying to find a m62 block and crank. m62 bottom end with m60 heads intake and dme.

Ok ha, I have never seen an m60 without its plastic covers. The intake manifold threw me off. I should have known though.

Nice, That kind of sounds like an m20 stroker on a v8 scale. should be intense. Well that m60 you have in right now looks great. I love that front tube chassis you have welded in there. Who did that work for you? Is it chromoly or steel?

Thank you. I did all the tube work. It's 1.5x.120 wall cold roll steel tube in the front end, 1.5x.120 wall dom on the cage.

Nice work. I have everything I would need to cage one of my cars except for a tube bender.
