Post subject: bodywork/respray on the 330

So ill start with a bit of a backstory on my car to explain why it needs the bodywork.
P/O Damages: curbed car on passenger side and fd up the rocker . The car got caught in the hail storm a few years back and had some pdr done along with a respray of random body panels.

What I have managed to do: had a guy tap me in the driver quarter. Then a month ago I rear ended a older latino(no dl) who decided to randomly slam on the brakes in the merging lane.

I was going about 7mph when I hit him. bent the passenger shock absorber, core support and folded the grill part of the hood.

I had pictures of the damage but I cant find them Anyways I have all the pics of the repair work up to this point. Right now I have decided that I am going to do a full respray of the car do to the quarter need to be fixed. Me and my dad are doing all the work except for paint.

car when I bought it over a year ago

those are from two weeks ago. we layed primer over the areas that we did work to, ill post pics of that tomorrow. in about two weeks we are going to detrim it, block it down and paint it. I plan to order a m tech II front bumper in that time.

Right now im stuck with what to do as far as paint options. I like silver(just not my cars silver) but since I am respraying the car I want to do a different shade, such as a Silverstone metallic II. I saw it once in person and I loved it. Now im having trouble finding a car painted that so I can put some of trim next to it to see how off the color is from mine. I just need to get an idea of how off itll be and I want to see how it looks on a car again. Anyone know if there is one sitting at a dealership?

just a note to. the quarters have been pulled and rolled to fit the 9.5 et27 19inch rears...ordered them from umnitza, whos website lists the offset at 35. It was a pain to get them to fit.

I envy those that can do their own bodywork. Its one of the few aspects of cars I wont touch. Looks good so far!

Cool, I am taking trig...so glad tomorrow is the last day of school! No, I am either driving a blue e24 635csi or black e39 540i. I wish I was an e60 m5...
