shit works!
this isnt going to be as helpful to everyone as it was to me but i think all the local enthusiasts shouldnt have to search for hours for a way to get there car running.

problem: i bought my car without a dme in it, it was being parted when i bought it. and stupidly i pulled a 413 red label from a car at a cousins junk yard, and when my car wouldnt start i replaced my crank sensor thinking that was the problem.. then the coils thinking ok well its spinning, and im getting fuel, but no spark maybe all 6 coils went bad... after all kinds of headache and dollars spent. then i started searching. ppl saying change the cam sensor, change this, change that. then ran across and old thread where someone had the same problem and bam it hit me.. i have the wrong computer. it was either an arm and a leg for a new silver label and to get it aligned or bypass ews and use the dme i have now.

solution: tear out the glove box and under panel and the bigger yellow connector is for ews. pull it out and unplug the connector. the green wire needs to be cut, and capped. its one of the skinny wires. then there is a yellow/black wire and a green/black wire those need to be cut and looped.

when i did it i was scarred the car would catch fire, the thread i learned this from had connector numbers and well... i cant count haha. no im not good with wire numbers. so when i started it i was shocked i turned it off and started it 4 or 5 times to be sure it was right.

it shouldnt take more than 20 minutes and wont cost as much as replacing your dme if your swapping an m50 into anything or if the computer in your car frys. red labels can be had for >$100 compared to the ~150 for the silver label plus aligning it.

ill post up pictures tomorrow when i get to the shop. my uncle has been working on strictly bmws for about 20 years now and was skeptical about it when i told him im doing this and it will start my car.

You might not want to post that kind of information lol. Someone might have their car disappear on them...

eh i wasnt saying for everyone to just do this.. an easy fix if your stuck in my situation where you bought a car with a wrong dme or without one at all or if yours takes a shit on you.

but i do see your point.
