She's beggin' for the coilovers to be installed, but all in due time...

You're getting pics of a washed car because Kohler bullied and shamed me into washing her before posting pics. I'm glad I did. Laughing

Thanks, Chris, for the lug bolts!

But its almost a carbon copy of Peter's touring...

Also, needs black mouldings Smile

Holy hot damn, you and Peter need to get together for a shoot once you get your suspension on. Looks so good, but I agree, needs black moldings.

When I get my m-tech rear bumper on, I'm converting to black mouldings. Then I'm dropping an M62 in the engine-bay and painting my car silver. Cool

All kidding aside, I needed new tires and while I was looking for some, I came across these wheels with nearly brand new rubber. I paid a few more clams more than I would have if I just bought tires, so I couldn't pass it up.

Truth be told, I'm not liking them as much as I thought I would and I'm already starting to miss the M-par look. Confused We'll see if I change my mind when I get the new suspension on...

If you dont like the look maybe we can do a trade of sorts for my OEM M5 wheels, the style 65s. Let me know, Ive been looking for new rims and besides the Varrstoen volk reps, nothing tickles my fancy quite like some good ol' ACS wheels.

Also, I saw your car last night! Was driving on chandler, just past 24th going down the hill headed west. I am in the passengar seat of my friends Prius (lol) and spotted E39 headlights. Figured it was one of the run-of-the-mill stock E39s in my area, but when I looked, it was all white - turned my head real quick and spotted the all red taillights as you went by (you were headed east towards 24th) and went "I KNOW THAT GUY" and freaked out my buddy. Car looks great. AW is the only color I would consider painted mouldings to look good on

I used to want style 65s so bad, and I still think they're awesome, but I've changed my mind about them being the best wheel for the touring. The spokes, while beautiful, are just too busy for the application. I've come to believe that simpler is better on the wagon, so I must gratefully decline your generous offer. I can't think of a better place for 65s than on the M5.

Let me know if you want to trade cars (wheels and all). Laughing

As for seeing me yesterday... It wasn't me. Sorry Graham. I hope I can elicit such high praise when you do see my car someday.

It wasnt you?

Strange, it was all white, lowered, red taillights... I would have bet money on the fact it was you! You sure your car wasnt stolen for a little bit last night? Does this mean a well-modded E39 lives near me? Hmm... this raises so many questions

And no worries about the wheels, I understand it being too busy a look. Against the taller profile on the touring I would have to agree. Im gonna keep them until I find a set I like. Once I see your car in person Im sure I will love it, as long as it doesnt have eyelids, isnt scraping frame... im a fan of any E39.

We should really do an E39 meet sometime soon. Especially if I sell the car, I have only done solo shots - my M5 needs some friends!

Nope. Wasn't me. I don't even think the car was driven at all yesterday.

Mine hasn't been lowered yet. And as for it being stolen for a little bit, I guess anything is possible.

No plans on going that low and I would never cover any portion of my touring's beautiful and pristine post-facelift eyes! Nor would I employ eyelids on anything else.

Consider me down. Of course, I'm not going to any meets or photo-shoots until at least my suspension is on, and maybe not until my M-tech rear is on (which arrived today!).

I'm retarded; that's why. It's one of two non-classified posts I put in the classified section.

Mods, if you would be so kind, please spare me additional embarrassment and shame by towing to the the proper sub-forum. Thanks.
